Short text 400 CharactersPlain text

The EC-KAC scored two goals within six seconds in their 8:1 victory over EC Red Bull Salzburg on Sunday. There has only been one faster brace by a team in league history: Steinbach Black Wings Linz scored twice in just five seconds against Klagenfurt in 2017. In the game between Znojmo and Hydro Fehervar AV19, two goals were even scored within four seconds - but both teams scored on that occasion.

Hydro Fehervar AV19 started the 2012/13 season with two defeats, with the Hungarians prevailing 5:3 in Znojmo on the third matchday. In a turbulent final phase, the visitors scored an empty netter to supposedly decide the game. However, current Innsbruck captain Jan Lattner was able to reduce the deficit for the Czechs. Immediately after the ensuing face-off - and four seconds after making it a one-goal game again - Arpad Mihaly ensured the final score with a shot into another empty net.

On 8 December 2017, the EC-KAC came to Linz with a seven-game winning streak, but were caught cold at the Untere Donaulände. Corey Locke put the Upper Austrians ahead after just 70 seconds, Rick Schofield made it 2:0 in the fourth minute. And just five seconds later Brian Lebler, who last week became the sole record scorer since the league was newly-founded, added the third goal after a solo effort. In the end, Linz won 4:2.
