The club has already made some personnel decisions to deal with the difficult situation. Furthermore, the Croatian Ice Hockey Federation and the City of Zagreb have promised support for the club.

With the goal to allow the club to remain in the competition of Erste Bank Eishockey Liga - in view of the fact that some players already left and some could follow - the other eleven teams and the presidium of Erste Bank Eishockey Liga have agreed to make an exception for the Croats for the number of possible changes. In this way the championship can be continued within the regulations.

KHL Medvescak Zagreb is granted the possibilty to replace their leavings by players with Croatian citizenship. No new transfer card players can be registered for season 2018/19 by KHL Medvescak Zagreb, though. It also means that the re-transfer of a currently hurt transfer card player is still possible.

The EBEL roster regulation according to Gamebook Part C remains in all points. The game between KHL Medvescak Zagreb against HC Orli Znojmo, scheduled for Friday, 14th of December 2018, takes place as planned.
