With the contract extensions of Philipp Lukas, who has been Head Coach and Sports Director at the same time since the 2022-23 season, and his assistants Mark Szücs and Jürgen Penker, the quarter-finalists are relying on continuity in the coaching staff: the trio signed new contracts until the end of the 2026-27 campaign. Under Lukas' leadership, the Black Wings reached the playoffs again last season, where they were only narrowly beaten by runners-up HCB Südtirol Alperia.

Head Coach & Sporting Director Philipp Lukas: "Linz is my home. It's a great privilege for me to be able to continue my work here as a coach. I am very proud and happy about my team and my work. Of course, I want to develop personally, but the top priority is that we continue to move the organization to be competitive at the highest level. There is still a lot of work ahead. We are only at the beginning of my journey!"
