Graham Knott can already look back on an impressive career. The 191 cm tall power forward started his successful career in the Ontario Hockey League, one of the three best Canadian junior leagues. After spending the majority of his training with the Niagara IceDogs, Knott moved to the Windsor Spitfires in 2016/17. With the Spitfires, the two-way forward advanced to the finals at the first attempt and was crowned Memorial Cup Champion with a total of 39 points (13 goals) this season.

NHL Draft Pick of the Chicago Blackhawks
Knott also caught the attention of NHL scouts even before the championship was won. In 2015, the Chicago Blackhawks secured the services of the forward at the 54th position in the NHL Draft. The 87-kilo forward then established himself for two seasons with the minor league team, the Rockford IceHogs in the American Hockey League, starting in 2017. Via trade, Knott then moved to the Pittsburgh Penguins organization, where he also collected nearly 100 appearances in the ECHL for four different teams between 2019 and 2021.

Last season, Knott worked his way back to the AHL, scoring 26 points (13 goals) in 70 games and battling his way to the quarterfinals with the Milwaukee Admirals. Knott is expected to join the Steinbach Black Wings at the end of this week. "I've heard a lot of good things about the city and the team and I can't wait to get started. My goal is to help the team as much as I can and also develop personally. With my size, I feel very comfortable in front of the goal and I want to create space for my teammates there," said the arrival.
