Jakub Kubeš will join the Steinbach Black Wings Linz today, Monday, to prepare for the upcoming season in the win2day ICE Hockey League. Trained in the youth of the Czech extra league team HC Brno, Kubeš celebrated his debut in the highest division of the Czech Republic in 20-21 with five appearances for HC Vítkovice. He then established himself in three seasons with HC Zubr Přerov in the Czech second division, contributing 55 points (16 goals) in a total of 119 appearances.

"I am very excited about the opportunity to prove myself here. Linz is a beautiful city and I've heard a lot about the great fans in the arena. Despite my size, I see my strengths on the ice more in my play with the puck. I will give my best in every game and fight hard to stay here for a long time," said the Czech defender before the start of training.
