Lipsbergs stays with Bregenzerwald

Roberts Lipsbergs will continue to play for EC Bregenzerwald in the upcoming Alps Hockey League season. In addition, EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel, HC Gherdeina, HC Meran, HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice and the Steel Wings Linz announced roster updates.

EC Kitzbühel has started the preseason preparations under Head Coach Charles Franzén. The four cooperation players of EC GRAND Immo VSV were also present at the first training session: goalkeeper Lukas Moser (19), defenders Martin Urbanek (19) and Luca Kohlmaier (22) as well as forward Benedikt Wohlfahrt (21).



Lipsbergs signs contract extension with Bregenzerwald
Roberts Lipsbergs will continue to play for EC Bregenzerwald in the coming season. The Latvian forward, who has also spent four years in the KHL during his career, joined the Vorarlberg team during last campaign. In 29 #AlpsHockey games, the 27-year-old recorded 36 points (22G, 14A).



Experienced forward for Val Gardena
The HC Gherdeina signed Finnish goal scorer Ville Korhonen. The 34-year-old started his impressive career with his hometown club Ilves Tampere and made his debut in the top division at the young age of 18 - during his career he played more than Liiga 700 games. Most recently, the winger was with HK Dukla Michalovce in Slovakia.



Steel Wings sign winger
Brodi Stuart is the next new addition to the Steel Wings Linz. Although the 21-year-old Canadian did not play any games last season, he was active in the Western Hockey League for four years before that. In 214 WHL matches, the winger recorded 118 points (47G, 71A).



Meran completes defense
With the signing of Hannes Oberrauch, HC Meran completes its defense. The 23-year-old moves from the Unterland Cavaliers to the league newcomer. Oberrauch has 91 Alps Hockey League games of experience, which he gained in three seasons with HC Neumarkt and Fassa Falcons.



Goalie Kogovšek stays in Jesenice
HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice extended the contract of goalie Žiga Kogovšek. In the last five years, the 21-year-old, who also played for some of Slovenia's junior national teams during his career, had 25 AHL appearances.
