"Petan is an extremely technical, skillful and enthusiastic striker who sees the pitch very well, plays good passes to his teammates and does a good job defensively as well," Fehérvár president Viktor Szélig said after the contract extension with the Italian national team player.

Alex Petan has been part of the win2day ICE Hockey League since 2017. First he played in Bolzano, where he won the title in his first year with the "Foxes". After another year in South Tyrol, he moved to Germany, to the Iserlohn Roosters, for whom he was active for one season, before the now 30-year-old signed with Hydro Fehérvár AV19. Last season, the right winger recorded 54 points (17G / 37A) in 57 appearances.

"I extended my contract in Székesfehérvár because I feel like part of a family here. The community, the fans, the people around the team and my teammates have created an atmosphere where I feel at home from the first minute and that allows me to be part of the team's historic success. I am looking forward to my third season and to fighting for the title again," said Alex Petan.

Zajc stays in Ljubljana
Miha Zajc will enter his fourth season in the win2day ICE Hockey League, his second with HK SZ Olimpija. In 35 appearances last season, the Slovenian international recorded 18 points (5G / 13A). The 25-year-old forward was previously part of the multinational league with Olimpija Ljubljana (2016/17) and HC TWK Innsbruck - Die Haie (2019/20).
