Ljubljana signs Marly Quince
HK Olimpija Ljubljana keeps working on its roster for the upcoming season and has signed center Marly Quince. The Canadian is considered a reliable and disciplined player known for his high faceoff success rate and strong play in front of the opposing net. Before moving to Europe, Quince played in the NCAA and then continued his professional career in the ECHL. In Europe, he first played in Great Britain and then spent two years with HK 32 Liptovský Mikuláš in the Slovak Extraliga, where he firmly established himself. Most recently, the 28-year-old was under contract with the Fischtown Pinguins in Germany’s DEL and also saw playoff action there. Olimpija gains a versatile offensive player who not only takes responsibility defensively but can also pose a threat in front of goal.

Frigo heading into tenth season with Bolzano
HCB Südtirol Alperia has announced the contract extension of forward Luca Frigo. The 32-year-old from Piedmont will remain with the Foxes for the 2025/26 season, entering his tenth consecutive campaign with the club. Frigo has long been one of the defining figures in HCB’s history. With 533 appearances so far in the red-and-white jersey, he is the second-most capped player in the club’s history, directly behind Daniel Frank. Only Christian Walcher (550 appearances) and Marco Insam (595 appearances) rank ahead of him. Overall, Frigo has recorded 217 points to date, comprising 94 goals and 123 assists. Last season, he set personal bests in the regular season with 30 points and 15 goals. As an assistant captain, he is one of the team’s leaders, both on and off the ice. Particularly noteworthy is his commitment in the defensive zone: with 41 blocked shots, he led the team’s forwards in that statistic.
