Lots of transfer activities past week

In the Alps Hockey League in the past week eleven of the 15 teams were active on the transfer market. Following is an overview of all new signings and contract renewals. In addition Andreas Lutz, who played in total 267 AHL games announced the end of his career.

Andreas Lutz ends his career
36-year-old Andreas Lutz announced the end of his career. The past five years the two-time Italian champion was active with the Rittner Buam. In addition, he played in the AHL for Asiago. In a total of 267 Alps Hockey League games Lutz scored 227 points.

In addition to the career end of Lutz, Ritten also announced the contract extensions with Marco Marzolini, Alex Frei, Simon Kostner, Julian Kostner, Markus Spinell and Stefan Quinz.

Comeback of Hochfilzer in Kitzbühel
After one year without a club, Henrik Hochfilzer is back at the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel, where he already played between 2009 and 2020. The 31-year-old forward made 149 Alps Hockey League appearances so far, scoring 101 points (39G / 62A).

The Tyrolans also announced the return of Luis Ludin who already played seven games back in the 18-19 season for the KEC. The forward arrives from win2day ICE Hockey League side HC Tiroler Wasserkraft Innsbruck – Die Haie.

Fabio Artner joins Zell am See
Fabio Artner has left win2day ICE Hockey League side spusu Vienna Capitals, signing at EK Die Zeller Eisbären for the upcoming two Alps Hockey League seasons. Artner played 123 games in the ICE, scoring eight goals and ten assists.

Deluca brothers will play for Fassa
Despite Alfeo Deluca, who will go into his fifth professional season with the Fassa Falcons, his brother Stephan Deluca will play for the Italians in the coming season too. Last season the 22-year-old was active with the HC Pustertal in the win2day ICE Hockey League. Before that he played many years in Switzerland.

Fassa also renewed the contracts of Martin Castlunger and Marco Defranceso.

Canadian forward signs in Vipiteno
26-year-old Canadian forward Shawn McBride heads to Europe for the first time, signing at the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan. He scored 12 goals and 23 assists in the past ECHL campaign for the Idaho Steelheads.

In addition the South Tyroleans extended the contracts with the forwards Paul Eisendle, David Gschnitzer, Alex Planatscher and René Deluca.

Tröthan stays with Bregenzerwald
Rene Tröthan is back for a third season with the EC Bregenzerwald, after the 22-year-old forward scored 5 goals and 9 assists in the past campaign.

Two contract extension and one new signing in Jesenice
22-year-old forward Gasper Sersen remains at HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice. Past season he scored one goal and three assists. 24-year-old Patrik Rajsar will continue to play for HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice too. The forward has spent his entire career with the Slovenians so far. In 148 AHL games he scored 57 points (23G / 34A). Goalkeeper Gasper Panjtar will play for Jesenice in the coming season. The 20-year-old played in the juniors of the Slovenians in the past years.

Three players stay in Gherdeina
At the HC Gherdeina valgardena.it the contracts with Patrick Nocker, Nicholas Paratoni and Tobias Moroder were extended.

Finn Markkula joins league newcomer Unterland
The latest new signing of league newcomer Hockey Unterland Cavaliers is Finnish forward Miro Markkula. The 20-year-old last played with Rauman Lukko Official in Liiga.

Two defenders stay in Meran/o
With Fabian Dellagiacoma and David Pföstl the HC Meran/o Pircher re-signed two talented defender.

Four young players stay with the KAC Future Team
At the EC KAC Future Team the defenders Christoph Tialler and Tobias Sablattnig, as well as the forwards Finn van Ee and Maximilian Theirich will also be part of the team in the coming season. All four players are 19-years-old and have already gained experience in the win2day ICE Hockey League.
