Lustenau back on track for success

In Tuesday's lone game, EHC Lustenau returned to the winning track with a 3:1 victory over Gardena. The Vorarlberg side took the lead shortly before the end of the first period, with two more goals in the middle period the home side managed the preliminary decision. Player of the match was comebacker Chris D'Alvise with a goal and an assist in his first game after a two-month injury layoff. With the second win of the season over the South Tyroleans, EHC climbed to ninth place in the standings.

After two defeats in a row, EHC Lustenau celebrates a 3:1 success against HC Gherdeina. Chris D'Alvise, who celebrated his comeback on Tuesday night after a two-month injury layoff, was partly responsible. First a powerplay goal a few seconds before the end of the first period put the guests in the lead. Dominic Haberl added one in the middle period before Chris D'Alvise netted in his comeback game to make it 3-0. Gherdeina was able to shorten the score in the middle period, but could no longer threaten the Lustenau victory. With the second win of the season over the South Tyroleans, Lustenau climbed to ninth place in the standings.
