Manny Viveiros came to Villach in 1991, where the back then defenseman celebrated two championship titles. Via other clubs in Austria, Italy and Germany, he moved on to the KAC, with whom Viveiros - who has dual Austrian-Canadian citizenship - became champion twice again. He then began his coaching career in Klagenfurt, where he was head coach and sports director for many years and led the club to two championship titles between 2007 and 2014. In 2014, he also led the Austrian national team through the Olympic Games in Sochi as head coach. After a subsequent one-and-a-half-year stint as a coach in the DEL with ERC Ingolstadt, he returned to Canada in 2016, where he worked for various WHL clubs until recently. His wealth of experience also includes one season as an assistant coach in the NHL with the Edmonton Oilers (2018/19) and three seasons as head coach of the AHL club Henderson Silver Knights.

Graz signs Danish international player
The Moser Medical Graz99ers announced the signing of defenseman Anders Koch. The 27-year-old, who is currently participating in the World Championship with the Danish national team, comes to Styria from the Liiga team Kiekko-Espoo. Before that, Koch played for Esbjerg and Aalborg in Denmark for several years.

Predan moves to Linz
The Steinbach Black Wings Linz have announced their second new signing. Forward Aljaž Predan is moving from the Vienna Capitals - and as a key player for the reigning Alps Hockey League champions EK Zeller Eisbären - to Upper Austria for the new season. The 24-year-old Austro-Slovenian has already played 189 league games for Salzburg, Ljubljana and Vienna (57 points).

Extensions in Bolzano, Villach and Vienna
Daniel Mantenuto is entering his fourth season with the HCB Südtirol Alperia. The 27-year-old has already played 192 games for the South Tyroleans in the win2day ICE Hockey League and Champions Hockey League, collecting 84 points (29 goals & 55 assists) in the process.

EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV and Elias Wallenta are continuing their successful collaboration: The Vorarlberg native has extended his contract with the Blue-Whites for another two years ahead of schedule and will therefore wear the VSV jersey for the next three seasons.

Youngsters Felix Koschek and Maximilian Theirich have also been re-signed to the Vienna Capitals.
