Marchetti returns to Fassa | Rosa stays at Asiago

Michele Marchetti returns to HC Fassa Falcons. The 24-year-old has already played for Fassa for six years. Most recently he was active at Asiago Hockey, prior he played at HCB Südtirol Alperia in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. Asiago has announced the contract extension with Marco Rosa. The 37-year-old Italian international will play his third season for Asiago. Contract extensions have also been announced by Cortina, Gardena and Jesenice. On Tuesday, July 30, Fassa will be the first team in the Alps Hockey League to play a test match. Opponents are the Toronto Selects.

Michele Marchetti is back at HC Fassa Falcons. The 24-year-old spent his training and several years of his professional career at Fassa. In 2013 the left wing moved to the USA in the NAHL. After one season he returned for another two years to Fassa before he moved to HCB Südtirol Alperia in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga in 2016. Most recently Marchetti played at league rival Asiago Hockey 1935 Srl for one season. 

Besides Marchetti Fassa also announced the commitment of Edoardo Caletti. Last season the 33-year-old Center played at Hockey Milano Rossoblu and scored 10 goals out of 38 games. In addition the contract of captain Martin Castlunger was extended.

Fassa starts preseason against Toronto Selects
On Tuesday, July 30, Fassa Hockey will contest the first test match of all Alps Hockey League teams in this preseason. Opponents are the Toronto Selects.

Italian-international Rosa stays at Asiago
Asiago Hockey 1935 Srl announced two contract extension. 37 year-old Italian-international Marco Rosa stays just as 29-year-old Alex Gellert. Rosa is part of the Italians since 2017. In 77 AHL-games the Center scored 37 goals and made 70 assists. Gellert will play his third season for Asiago as well.

2 contract extensions in Cortina
Hafro Cortina Hockey announced the contract extension of two players. Massimo Cordiano and Marco Sanna will play their third season in Cortina. 24-year-old defender Cordiano played 75 games for the Italians so far. 21-year-old left wing Sanna scored seven goals and made ten assists out of 49 games so far.

Youngster Vinatzer stays in Gardena
Andreas Vinatzer stays at Hockey Club Gherdëina - Gardena for another season. The 20-year-old striker has already completed 97 games for the South Tyroleans in his young career. He scored 13 goals and made 19 assists so far.

Miha Brus extends his contract in Jesenice
Miha Brus stays at HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice. The 33-year-old already plays his entire career for the Slovenes. In 101 games in the Alps Hockey League for Jesenice the left wing scored 70 points (32G/38A). He has also been Slovenian champion with Jesenice five times.
