Max Wilfan stays in Lustenau

The EHC Lustenau extended the contract with captain Max Wilfan. While EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel signed Erik Lindhagen from Sweden as their first import, other teams also made roster decisions.

With Massimo Zanet, HC Merano announced the next new arrival. The 23-year-old knows the league very well, having played for the Fassa Falcons for the past five years. In 146 AHL games the winger recorded 15 goals and 14 assists so far. In addition the Swedish twins Victor Per and Oscar Erik Ahlstroem will return to HC Merano for the upcoming AHL season, as both played at the newcomer past campaign. Further, they gained league experience early in their career at Rittner Buam, winning the championship back in 2017. 



Max Wilfan stays in Lustenau
EHC Lustenau has agreed on a contract extension with Maximilian Wilfan. The 30-year-old forward will enter his ninth season with the "Sticker". Wilfan has been captain of last year's semifinalists since the 2015-16 season and has scored a total of 317 points (121G|196A) in 298 games for EHC.



Kitzbühel signs first import player
EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel has filled its first import position for the upcoming season with the experienced Swede Erik Lindhagen. The 33-year-old played for Grüner IL in Norway's elite series last year and is expected to take on a leadership role at the Tyroleans. Prior to that, he played for four seasons in the Elite ICE Hockey League, where he was part of Nottingham and Guildford.



Further roster updates at Val Gardena
The HC Gherdeina valgardena.it has agreed with Tim Linder, Leo Messner and Fabian Kasslatter each on an extension of the cooperation, while Matteo Luisetti is a newcomer at the “Furie”. The 21-year-old from Como has spent large parts of his career in the youth sectors of HC Lugano and HC Lausanne. In between, he played for the Okanagan HC Europe in St. Pölten too. Past year, Luisetti ventured to the U.S., but only played seven games for the South Shore Kings in the NCDC due to corona.



Kovanecz remains at Steel Wings | Kunzemann is a newcomer
Linz native Christian Kovanecz will continue with the Steel Wings Linz for the third season in the Alps Hockey League. The 20-year-old forward gave six assists in 56 AHL games so far and is still waiting for his premiere goal. Moreover, the Steel Wings Linz have added Marcel Kunzemann to the roster for the upcoming AHL season, with the 20-year-old forward arriving from German side SC Riessersee, where he played in the U20. 



Two contract extensions at Fassa
After scoring his first AHL goal past season, Andrea Ploner remains at SHC Fassa Falcons for his fourth campaign in the multinational league. 20-year-old Sebastiano Rossi has signed a contract extension too.
