40-years-old Frédéric Cloutier will be the new goalkeeper of the HC Merano. Cloutier already played in the Alps Hockey League between 2016 and 2020 (with Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey). His biggest success was winning the AHL championship in 2018.



The 20-years-old Felix Zipperle got the last spot on the EK Zeller Eisbären defense for the upcoming season. The native of Vorarlberg played for EC Bregenzerwald for the last four years. In 95 AHL games, the youngster recorded 4 goals and 4 assists.



Finnish defender Joona Lehmus is the first external addition to the Red Bull Hockey Juniors for the 2021-22 campaign. The 19-year-old, who will be making his first senior appearance, played for the Tappara U20 team last season. In addition, Salzburg native goalie Thomas Pfarrmaier (18) was promoted to the AHL squad.



The Hockey Club Gherdëina announces 4 contract extensions with local players. Samuel Moroder, David Galassiti and the brothers Maximilian and Michael Sölva will continue to play for the team from Wolkenstein.



Gašper Glavič extended his contract with his home club HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice. In the last AHL season, the 24-year-old winger recorded two goals and five assists in 42 games.
