MVP Colin Furlong extends contract at HC Pustertal Wölfe

The MVP of the past season in the Alps Hockey League, Colin Furlong, extended his contract at HC Pustertal Wölfe. In the past season the goalkeeper had a save percentage of 93%. No longer part of the team in Bruneck will be sporting director Michael Pohl. His contract was terminated by mutual agreement. Another contract extension was also presented by HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana. Defender Luka Zorko extended his contract at the champion of the season 2018/19.

With a save perentage of 93% Colin Furlong was the outstanding goalkeeper of the past season in the Alps Hockey League. That is why the Canadian, in his second season with HC Pustertal Wölfe, was also named the season's most valuable player. There will definitely be a third season as well, as the 27-year-old and Pustertal agreed on a contract extension of one year. Furlong is already looking forward to the upcoming tasks: "I am happy to continue being in Bruneck. To continue in front of the super fans and to play in a well-managed and organised club is an honour. See you soon in the Rienzstadion!"



Michael Pohl is no longer sporting director

In addition to the extension of the contract with Colin Furlong, the South Tyroleans also announced the end of the cooperation with Michael Pohl. The contract of the sporting director from Rosenheim was terminated by mutual agreement after almost three years of activity.

Luka Zorko extended his contract in Ljubljana
The champion of the season 2018/19, HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana, announced the extension of the contract with another player. The defender Luka Zorko will continue to play for the Slovenians in the coming season. Thus, Ljubljana has already been able to sign six players from the previous season for the season 2020/21. For the 23-year-old Zorko it will be the fourth season in Ljubljana. In the past season he played 35 matches and scored 18 points. For the Slovenian national team Zorko has been on the ice three times.
