Up until the 54th minute, everything pointed to a home win for HC Gherdeina valgardena.it, but Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel turned the game around late. Niklas Wetzl tied the score, and with just two minutes remaining, Yoan Loshnig netted the game-winner for the third-placed team, which celebrated its third straight victory. For ninth-ranked Gherdeina, it was one of five defeats in their last six games and their second loss of the season against Kitzbühel. The Eagles had already won the season opener convincingly 6–2.

Shootout win for Cortina
The second game of the day also ended 3–2, this time for the home side – and only after a shootout. S.G. Cortina Hafro narrowly defeated KHL Sisak. After a scoreless first period, Chad Pietroniro gave the hosts the lead in the 29th minute. The score remained 1–0 until four and a half minutes before the end, when the visitors equalized. Just about ninety seconds later, Cortina regained the lead, but Sisak responded again as Nejc Brus forced overtime with 65 seconds left in regulation. The game was finally decided in the shootout, where Oskari Kalajanniska scored the decisive penalty for Cortina. As a result, Sisak suffered their second loss within 24 hours and missed out on climbing to the top of the table. With 32 points, the Croatians are level with leaders Red Bull Hockey Juniors, but have the inferior goal difference. Cortina, on the other hand, moved up to eighth place thanks to their second consecutive win.
