Because of poor weather conditions five games, originally scheduled for 2nd of February 2019, were postponed. As written in the AHL gamebook, if a game cannot be started because of force majeure, an extra date is needed and only players are allowed to play who would have been allowed to play at the original date.

Also because of arena non-availabilities, there is no possibility to place the postponed games within the original schedule. For that reason, the Board of Governors decided to reschedule the final two rounds one week later than originally planned. To integrate all games into the schedule, this is the only possibility, from the sportive and logistic point of view. For tough, almost the half of the teams still have eight to nine games to go in the final three weeks till the planned end of regular season.

The shift of the past two rounds also effects the beginning of the Playoffs. The Pre-Playoffs as well as the Quarter- and Semifinals are starting six days later than originally planned. “The “best-of-seven”-final series will be started on the 12th of April and will end on 23 of April latest. If a Slovenian team will qualify for the finals, the home – away rhythm will change to H/H/A/A/H/A/H. Two home games for the better ranked team are followed by two away games.
