New coaches for several AHL teams

Several teams in the Alps Hockey League are relying on new and ambitious coaches for the upcoming 2025/26 season. As early as March, the Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel introduced Daniel Naud as their new head coach. Most recently, the Rittner Buam SkyAlps announced that Dave MacQueen will be their new coach.

Danny Naud in Kitzbühel
Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel already signed Daniel Naud as their new head coach in March. The 63-year-old Canadian brings a wealth of experience and has signed a two-year contract. Naud has had a long coaching career in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Canada. His goal is to establish a winning mentality and bring another title to Kitzbühel.

John Parco in Asiago
John Parco returns to the coaching bench of Hockey Club Asiago after years of success as both a player and a coach. He is considered a symbolic figure of the club and once again brings determination, passion, and a hunger for victory. Asiago looks forward to a new era with him.

Gaber Glavic in Cortina
Gaber Glavic will become the new head coach of the first team of Hafro Cortina Hockey for the 2025/26 season. In his official introduction, he expressed his honor at becoming part of this traditional Italian club and is looking forward to the support of the fans.

Juhani Matikainen with the Cavaliers
Juhani Matikainen will take over as head coach of the Cavaliers starting next season. The 34-year-old Finn brings experience from his playing and coaching career, most recently working in Füssen. By moving to the Alps Hockey League, he is taking on a new challenge.

Dave MacQueen in Klobenstein
Dave MacQueen will be behind the bench for the Rittner Buam SkyAlps in the 2025/26 season. The 66-year-old Canadian has coached the Romanian top-tier team CSM Corona Brasov as well as the Romanian national team in recent years. However, in his long coaching career, he has also had a taste of the NHL and spent several years with Dornbirn in today’s win2day ICE Hockey League.
