The new Wolves coach has had a strong playing career with stints in the NHL, AHL, Team Canada Juniors and, last but not least, 13 years in the DEL. As an experienced center, he managed the game in Mannheim (champions in 2007), Nuremberg and Cologne, among others – in the fall of his career, the now 43-year-old also pitched his tents in Iserlohn, Berlin and Wolfsburg.

At the age of 38, the Canadian from Thunder Bay (Ontario) hung up his skates and, after a one-year break, signed on with the traditional Danish club Esbjerg Energy. There, as a newcomer, he not only managed to achieve good results, but also to continuously promote and improve several players and the entire team.

After his first two years in Denmark, Jaspers earned himself another contract and most recently made it into a thrilling final series from 5th place.
