New signings at Wipptal, Pustertal, Fassa and Kitzbühel

In the past few days, numerous teams of the Alps Hockey League were eagerly active on the transfer market. The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan, the HC Pustertal Wölfe, the SHC Fassa Falcons and the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel announced new signings. In addition the VEU Feldkirch announced its basic squad for the coming season. The Broncos announced the return of Markus Gander, who had already been active for Wipptal for ten years. Pustertal announced the engagement of the British Brett Perlini. At Fassa the Canadian Daniel Tedesco was signed. At Kitzbühel the Wernerson brothers are now in the squad. At Feldkirch, the leading players Steve Birnstill and Captain Dylan Stanley will remain on board. The club also confirmed that Michael Lampert will remain head coach of the team.

133-time Italian international Gander returns to the Broncos
Markus Gander returns to the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan, for which the 31-year-old already played between 2003 to 2009 and 2010 to 2012. The right wing then moved to the HCB Südtirol Alperia in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League where he won the title twice. In the last two years, the 133-time Italian national player played for the HC Pustertal and Cortina Hafro Hockey.

Gander is delighted to be wearing the Broncos' jersey again with immediate effect: "Personally, I am really looking forward to returning to my home and playing for the Broncos. I'm sure we'll have a strong and dedicated team that can knock out even the best teams.



Brit Perlini moves to Pustertal

With Brett Perlini the HC Pustertal Wölfe has a new striker in its squad. The 30-year-old transfers from the Nottingham Panthers to South Tyrol. In 160 games in the Elite Ice Hockey League Perlini scored 126 points (53G/73A). In addition, the native Canadian has played for the British national team 15 times.

Brett Perlini on his move to the HC Pustertal Wölfe: "I have heard good things about the city and the club and I am looking forward to the task. With the new arena and a motivated team under coach Basile, something is in the making. I am happy to become a part of it."



New signing and further contract extension at Fassa

The SHC Fassa Falcons announced the engagement of the 26-year-old Daniel Tedesco. The left wing first played for Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey last season before being signed by Mastini Varese at the end of November. There the native Canadian scored 44 points (26G/18A).

In addition to Tedesco's commitment, the Italians announced a further contract extension. The 34-year-old Edoardo Caletti will start his second season with Fassa in October. The center from Milan scored 40 points in 43 matches in the past season.



Wernerson twins sign with Kitzbühel I Contract with Kreuter extended

The two identical twins Linus Wernerson and Pontus Wernerson transfers from Östersunds IK to the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. This means that from the coming season on, a third pair of brothers will join the Tyroleans. Yet with the Schröders and the Eders already two pair of brothers plays for “Die Adler”. The two Swedish strikers have always played together for the same clubs. Kitzbühel is the first foreign stop for the 28-year-olds.

In addition, the Tyroleans announced the contract extension with David Kreuter. Born in Villach, the 25-year-old has been part of the team since last season.



Feldkirch announces basic squad and head coach for the coming season

The VEU Feldkirch announced twelve contract extensions for the coming season. The contract with captain Dylan Stanley, Steve Birnstill, Sven Grasböck, Patrick Stückler, Patrick Ratz, Yannik Lebeda, Niklas Gehringer, Smail Samardzic and Kevin Puschnik has already been extended.

The goalkeeper trio for the coming season is also complete. This is formed by Alex Caffi, Patrick Kühne and Dominic Divis. Michael Lampert remains Head Coach.
