Italian striker Simon Pitschieler took his first steps on the ice in the youth teams of Sterzing. He made his debut in the first team in the 2015/16 season and scored his first goal in Serie A. The following year he stayed in Sterzing and moved to Val Gardena in 2017: in three Alps Hockey games he scored a total of 62 points in 125 events (24 goals and 38 assist).

Simon Pitschieler: "I am happy for this this opportunity. Now I want to take advantage of this chance. It's up to me to adapt to the level of the ICE Hockey League as quickly as possible, because the expectations of the team are very high, because the Foxes have always done well in the last few years and then there is still an unfinished task to finish. It will be something special for me to play in front of the Palaonda audience: in the last few years I have seen many games and was thrilled by the unique atmosphere. I hope that everything will go well and that as many spectators as possible will be able to attend the games".

Ivan Deluca enters his third season with the Foxes
The 23-year-old from Sterzing joined the Foxes in 2018 after having played in all the youth teams in his hometown and having started his career as a professional. In his first season in Bolzano he already attracted attention with 15 points in 59 championship games, with three points from the Champions Hockey League to add to this. Last season he had 47 appearances and played five games in the Alps Hockey League with the Wipptal Broncos.

Ivan Deluca "At the moment we are going through a difficult time, so I am even more happy to return to the ice wave for training and then to the games in front of our audience. If everyone sticks to the rules, we will have an exciting season: we want to reach the playoffs and this time play for our chance until the end".

Ivan Tauferer extends for another year
The defender, born in 1995, made his debut as a loan from Rittner Buam for three games already in the 2018/19 season. The defender of the Italian national team is considered a constant and reliable defender.

Ivan Tauferer: "We went through a paradoxical situation and the summer was extremely long. The new season will certainly not be easy, because with Coach Ireland's confirmation, most people will certainly expect us to always be in the top positions in the table. But we have to start from scratch and work hard: last year Greg turned things around and promoted us younger players. He pays a lot of attention to detail, but is also a tough coach who knows what he wants".
