The penultimate matchday before the International Break opens with the duel between Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey and EHC Lustenau. For the Italians it is the last test for the final of the Italian championship starting on Tuesday (vs. Rittner Buam). And the "lions", they are in fifth place in the Alps Hockey League, form curve points upwardds: The best powerplay team (31.1%) in the league has won its last five games - two of them in the Italian championship - and is without defeat at home for eight games - and that with a goal difference of 37:10. Against EHC Lustenau Asiago is playing for the first time this year, also for the sixth-placed Austrians it is the dress rehearsal for the national final (vs. Red Bull Hockey Juniors). The Vorarlbergers, they can possibly fall back on the injured defender Renars Karkls, but have lost their last two games.

Sat, 06.02.2021, 7.30 pm: SHC Fassa Falcons – Steel Wings Linz
Referees: GIACOMOZZI F., LEGA, Fleischmann, Ricco. | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<
The Steel Wings Linz will go on a road trip this weekend, stopping by at the SHC Fassa Falcons on Saturday. The Austrians want to put an end to their 14-game losing streak. Fassa, which sits on thirteenth place, wants to follow the performance of Thursday, when the "Falcons" defeated Lustenau. In four games against each other so far, the South Tyroleans have always prevailed, although they have not won at home since November 28th (2:1 vs. HCP) after regular time. There were two victories after overtime.

  • H2H AHL: FAS – SWL 4:0

Sat, 06.02.2021, 7.30 pm: Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan – EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel
Referees: HUBER A., SCHAUER, Eisl, Huber J. | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<
The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan confirmed their upward trend on Thursday in Feldkirch: With the 7:2 win, in which their top scorer Trevor Gooch (18G | 14A) scored twice, the South Tyroleans set their highest win of the season so far. The Broncos picked up nine points from their last four games and are currently in eleventh place in the standings, but they will also have to hold their own against EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel to avoid suffering a setback in the fight for the pre-playoffs. To do so, they also have a fine home form ready, winning the last four games in a row on home ice. The Tyroleans, on the other hand, lying in second last place, have won only one of their last eight away games. Also in Sterzing there was no sense of achievement in the past, the Broncos are still undefeated at home against the Eagles. Florian Eder is missing Kitzbühel due to suspension.

  • H2H AHL: WSV – KEC 8:2

Sat, 06.02.2021, 7.30 pm: EC Bregenzerwald – Rittner Buam
Referees: HEINRICHER, WIDMANN, Kainberger, Wimmler. | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<
In the duel of two table neighbors, the EC Bregenzerwald receives the Rittner Buam. While the Vorarlberg team is in ninth place after 18 games (31 points), the South Tyroleans are tenth with 20 points from 20 games. Ritten, which lost in Klagenfurt on Thursday, tests for the final opener in the Italian championship. The "Wälder" want to get back on track: Since January 3rd, the Vorarlberg team has suffered five defeats, with only one OT win in the derby against VEU in the last month - and that was at home, all other games were away. That's why the ninth-placed team in the table, which still has to do without Richard Schlögl, Benjamin Winkler and Kai Hämmerle, is also relying on its home series: eight wins in a row, the last defeat dates back to October 14th (2:4 vs. KEC). However, the last two home games against Ritten, where Hannes Treibenreif is expected to be back in the line-up, were lost. In the Head-2-Head the Austrians have won only one game.

  • H2H AHL: ECB – RIT 1:7

Sat, 06.02.2021, 7.30 pm: S.G. Cortina Hafro – Red Bull Hockey Juniors
Referees: EGGER, MOSCHEN, Piras, Slaviero. | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<
S.G. Cortina Hafro will start its back-2-back weekend against Red Bull Hockey Juniors, who will have their last test for the national final. Both teams have recently gained plenty of self-confidence: the seventh in the table (19 games / 36 points) beat table leader Ljubljana after overtime, the "Bullen", which are in fourth place, defeated Runner-Up Pustertal. The Austrians have won their last three games at all - and want to secure the top-4 with another success. Cortina also needs three points in order not to lose sight of the top-4 in the meantime. In order to achieve this, the Italians will field the player with the most points in the Alps Hockey League: Mike Cazzola has 44 points after 25 games (14G | 30A).

  • H2H AHL: COR – RBJ 5:5

Sat, 06.02.2021, 8.00 pm: HC Pustertal Wölfe – EC-KAC II
Referees: LAZZERI, PINIE, Bedana, Mantovani. | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<
Second-ranked HC Pustertal Wölfe wants to get back on track against EC-KAC II: The South Tyroleans have lost four of their last five games - including the semifinal games from the Italian championship. EC-KAC II, on the other hand, has been performing well lately, winning three of its last four games, only losing narrowly against Jesenice. In the Head-2-Head between two of the best powerplay teams in the league, the "Wolves" have a clear lead with 7:1. Only the first meeting ever on October 1st, 2016, the Austrians (2:1 OT) decided in favor.

  • H2H AHL: PUS – KA2 7:1

Sat, 06.02.2021, 8.15 pm: HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana – VEU Feldkirch
Referees: PAHOR, REZEK, Bergant, Pagon. | >> FREE-LIVESTREAM <<
VEU Feldkirch starts their Slovenia road trip on Saturday evening with stopping by at current leader HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana. Although the "Dragons" lost their last game in Cortina after overtime, they are the best team in the Alps Hockey League: The reigning champions scored the most goals so far and also lead the statistics in PP and PK. Against the Vorarlberg team, Ljubljana has won its last three duels and is now even in the Head-2-Head. Francis Beauvillier will no longer play for the Dragons. The Canadian has ended his career after only four games (3G | 1A). At VEU, which recently suffered four defeats, Sven Grasböck will play his last two games. He, too, will no longer play professional ice hockey due to his career.

  • H2H AHL: HKO – VEU 3:3
