The intense phase in the Alps Hockey League continues with nine games in the next three days. On Saturday, six games will be played - with the Veneto derby between Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey and S.G. Cortina Hafro as the highlight. On Sunday, on the one hand BEMER VEU Feldkirch wants to put an end to their negative streak, while leader HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice wants to forget the surprising defeat on Thursday. On Monday, the Vienna Capitals Silver finish their Italy road trip with their third game in four days.

The Vienna Capitals Silver continue their intensive program on Saturday with the second away game in a row, hosting third-place Rittner Buam. Already on Monday, the league returnee completes its three-game Italy road trip in Cortina. The "Buam" are currently the hottest team in the league, having won their last five games. With an average of 4.8 goals, they are the strongest offensive team in the league and also in the two previous comparisons with the Viennese, Ritten has always been able to clearly prevail. Except for Manuel Öhler, Ritten's coach Santeri Heiskanen has all players available.

The South Tyroleans are thus for over 180 minutes without scoring and slipped in the table on the twelfth place. Competitor EC-KAC Future Team also suffered defeats in the last three rounds and hopes to reverse the trend against the newcomer. Especially on the power play, both teams (HCM 13.8% and KFT 11.5%) still have potential.

A losing streak will also be ended in the duel between Red Bull Hockey Juniors and SHC Fassa Falcons. While the home team recently lost twice in a row - conceding a total of 14 goals in the process - the guests from Italy have gone four games without a win. The "Falcons" have always given away a lead in three of these games. Fassa has not yet been successful away from home this year, and they have not yet scored a point in six appearances in Salzburg.

The reigning vice-champion has won the last three games in a commanding manner, 16:3 goals is the record - and with that the Italians could also draw level with leader Jesenice. Opponents Cortina, who recently returned to winning ways in Merano, were beaten 1:4 in their first encounter with Asiago. In general, the Ampezzani, they provide the best penalty killing in the league (90.9%), have lost the last six Derby Veneto across competitions. On Sunday, BEMER VEU Feldkirch will make another attempt to put an end to their losing streak. The team from Vorarlberg got only two points from the last seven games, the last one in Kitzbühel after a penalty shootout. There they let slip away an interim 3:1 lead. The VEU showed improvement offensively, scored four goals, while in the six games before they had a total of five. On PP they only scored one so far (3.1%). The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan had a good start, won five of eight games and are in seventh place.
