Norwegian national player Haga signs in Linz

The Steinbach Black Wings Linz have strengthened their team for the upcoming season in the win2day ICE Hockey League with Michael Haga, as the 30-year-old center comes from Liiga club Lukko Rauma. Lately, he scored three assists at the past IIHF World Championship A Division.

Michael Haga has no less than 231 games in Sweden's top league SHL and in addition 112 games in the Allsvenskan played. With 31 goals and 49 assists during his time in the SHL and 33 goals and 37 assists in Sweden’s second division, the Norwegian has always proven his strength and accuracy. At the beginning of last season, he moved to Finland. In the country of the current world champion and Olympic champion, Haga played 52 games (5G|13A) for the top club and former Champions Hockey League semifinalist Lukko Rauma.

The center has played in five World A Championships for Norway and has worn the national team jersey an impressive 122 times. At club level, Haga can look back on two seasons in the Champions Hockey League, as in the 19-20 campaign, the forward provided a real moment of glory for his club Djurgardens. In the game against Adler Mannheim, he scored three goals and two assists. For Lukko, the center forward recorded one goal and three assists in six games during the past CHL season.
