Obersteiner signs two-year contract with KAC

Daniel Obersteiner has signed a new two-year contract with EC-KAC, as the 24-year-old homegrown player will remain in Klagenfurt.

Daniel Obersteiner passed through all stages of the EC-KAC's junior department, via the Future Team, for which he played in 97 Alps Hockey League games, he made the jump to the first team. The now 24-year-old has already won the Karl Nedwed Trophy twice with the Rotjacken and played a total of 212 league games (18G|34A).

"I am happy to be able to wear the jersey of the EC-KAC for two more years. This is where I grew up, this is where I always played, so it's an honor to be able to continue representing the club. Our team is already hot to return to ice training. We will set ourselves very high goals, which we are already working hard to achieve in the summer, and we are also eager to be able to play in front of our fans in our new home arena," commented Daniel Obersteiner on his contract extension until 2024.
