In the early match of the 30th round, HK SZ Olimpija will meet Steinbach Black Wings Linz on Wednesday. Both teams will face each other for the second time this season in Ljubljana. In the season opener on September 15, Linz narrowly prevailed 3:2 after overtime. Brian Lebler scored the deciding goal after 35 seconds in overtime. After the opening win in Slovenia, the Black Wings suffered four losses in a row. Recently, however, they got back on track with three wins in a row. With eleven points from eight games, the Black Wings are in ninth place in the table. Olimpija is ranked immediately ahead of them. The Slovenians have one point more than the Black Wings, but have already played one game more. Olimpija recently suffered two defeats in a row. HKO has not yet won any of its four games at home.

Second last round in the Regular Season of the Champions Hockey League
In the Champions Hockey League, the fifth and thus second last round of the Regular Season is scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday. EC Red Bull Salzburg faces the Belfast Giants in Northern Ireland on Tuesday, HC TIWAG Innsbruck and HCB Südtirol Alperia are in action on Wednesday.

Salzburg play in Belfast
Both the Belfast Giants and EC Red Bull Salzburg have won one of four games so far this CHL season. A win on Tuesday is therefore mandatory for both teams to still have a chance of reaching the Round of 16. In the domestic championship, as well as in the domestic Challenge Cup, Belfast is still without a defeat. The Red Bulls have scored points in all eight games in the win2day ICE Hockey League so far, losing only once in overtime. With 21 points, they are currently at the top of the ICE.

Innsbruck can take big step towards playoffs in Aalborg
The HC TIWAG Innsbruck started strong into their Champions Hockey League debut season with two wins from four games. On Wednesday at 19:00 the 15th in the table will play at the 22nd in the table Aalborg Pirates. The Danes have only managed to pick up one point so far. In the domestic championship, however, they had a very strong start, with ten wins from the first eleven games. With 29 points, they are already ten points ahead of their closest rivals. Innsbruck won all of their last two games in the ICE Hockey League and are in fourth place in the table.

Bolzano aims for the first win
Still without a win or a point after four games is the HCB Südtirol Alperia, who absolutely need a win at home against the Lahti Pelicans from Finland on Wednesday at 19:45. The Pelicans have won two Regular Season games so far and are in twelfth place. In the domestic championship, Lahti, just like Bolzano, is having a very hard time. With ten points from eleven games, they are only in thirteenth place. Bolzano picked up only six points in the win2day ICE Hockey League and are twelfth in the table.
