HC Neumarkt Riwega – Rittner Buam 5:6 OT (2:2, 3:3, 0:0, 0:1)
It had to be a one-way game between the leader of the AHL and a team with no points. Instead, the challenge between Neumarkt and Ritten has given so much emotions. The home team couldn’t use Michael and Alex Sullmann and Hannes Oberrauch. The new player - Joseph Hacharcik - was not yet present. Ritten played with goalkeeper Hannes Treibenreif. The start of the match was very easy for visitors. After the first two shoots of the game, in just over 3 minutes, Ritten was already on 2:0 thanks to Markus Spinell and Victor Ahlström. But the hosts didn’t give up and they succeed in the drawing. Tobias Steiner scored with a shot from the distance and then after 15 minutes there was a tie after a deflection of Jakub Muzik in powerplay. In a match where both teams played an open face game, everything happened. The hosts had two other goals with Tobias Brighenti and very young Moritz Selva (Under 17) for his first goal in a senior championship. But Renon team reminded themselves that they are the leader. Andreas Lutz and Thomas Spinell reported the result at even. After 40 minutes there were already 10 goals. During the third time the game was without goals. First point for Neumarkt in the new season.

The main player of the action was Martin Mairitsch: the forward of Feldkirch scored two goals on rebound in just 3 minutes of the game as he launched the austrian team for success. Then the VEU found another leader. Between the first and the second period Christoph Draschkowitz made two more goals for a Feldkirch that became the owner of the rink. The home team put Giancarlo Kostner into the net instead of Martin Rabanser. In the middle there was the first home goal with Jan McDonald. But then in just three minutes, Vorarlberg built other 3 goals: Daniel Fekete, Patrick Breuss and Marcel Witting increased the result for a one-way match. Even in the third time, the Furies couldn’t do anything about the match. After another Jan McDonald’s goal for the hosts, Feldkirch fixed the score on 9:2 thanks to Diethar Winzing's goal and again Christoph Draschkowitz (hat trick).
