One game suspension for Dominic Haberl (EHC)

Dominic Haberl (#92) of EHC Lustenau time approximately 07:04, was involved in an incident deemed as checking to the head or neck (IIHF Rule 124). The video evidence was sent to the AHL Player Safety Committee (PSC), which determined the incident to be worthy of supplementary discipline, Category 1 - 'Careless'.

According to the Arbitrator and having considered the video evidence and ruling of the AHL PSC, player Dominic Haberl (#92) of EHC Lustenau , will receive supplementary discipline under rule 124 – checking to the head or neck.

On December 06th in Lustenau, an incident occurred involving Lustenau player #92 Dominic Haberl and Jesenice player #17 Luka Scap which is deemed checking to the head or neck, causing an apparent injury.
As the video shows, the puck is passed to EHC Lustenau player #92 Dominic Haberl. The pass was not handled by Haberl and instead was deflected, causing a race to the lose puck. The opposing player, Jesenice player #17 Luka Scap, read the play broken play, stepped up and made a play on the puck. Immediately after playing the puck, Haberl made a check in which he had no regard for the puck, elevated and made contact to the head area of Scap, causing an apparent injury. With Haberl being a tall person combined with the elevation, Scap had no possibility to properly protect or defend himself.

Effective immediately, Dominic Haberl (#92) of EHC Lustenau is suspended for 1 game.
