Manuel Geier of EC-KAC time 31:41, was involved in an incident deemed as Tripping (IIHF Rule 167). The video evidence was sent to the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League PSC, which determined the incident to be worthy of supplementary discipline - Category 1 - 'Careless'.

According to the Arbitrator and having considered the video evidence and ruling of the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League PSC, Manuel Geier of EC-KAC will receive supplementary discipline under rule 167 – Tripping.

On February 21st in Klagenfurt an incident occurred involving Klagenfurt player #21 Manuel Geier and Bozen player #7 Daniel Catenacci which is deemed tripping. No penalty was assessed by the on-ice officials.

As the video shows, play is in the Kalgenfurt D'zone where multiple players are battling for a loose puck. Within the pursuit for the loose puck, #21 Geier, makes an illegal play on #7 Catenacci, through the use of his stick, which is deemed illegal and worthy of supplementary discipline.

Both Geier and Catenacci are tied up with each other in the corner. With Catenacci getting up first and in pursuit of the puck, Geier is located directly behind Catenacci. Geier uses his left hand, located at the shoulder level of Catenacci and pushes directly from behind, which appears to be the cause of Catenacci going dangerously into the boards. When all circumstances were reviewed, it has been determined that Geier did use his left hand which helped propel Catenacci, but was not the sole cause. The right arm of Geier, which is his stick arm, propels ahead. Geier's blade of his his stick is located directly in the back knee of Catenacci. It is the stick movement that causes Catenacci legs to move forward. With Catenacci located a dangerous distance from the boards, the stick action, deemed a trip, is dangerous and illegal.

Effective immediately, Manuel Geier of EC-KAC is suspended for 1 games and fined 150.00 Euros.
