The 2025/26 season in the Alps Hockey League has already been over for nearly a month. Since then, several clubs have been active on the transfer market. Here is an overview.

EK Die Zeller Eisbären
The semifinalists have extended the contracts of captain Max Wilfan, Blaž Tomaževič, Philip Putnik, Paul Schmid, and Christian Jennes. In addition, the Pinzgau-based club signed defenseman Ivan Korecký, who spent last season with the Pioneers Vorarlberg in the win2day ICE Hockey League. Žan Jezovšek, who previously played several years for Jesenice, also joined the Polar Bears. And with Alexander Maxa and Alexander Matzka two players from Kitzbühel joined Zell am See.

On the departure side, several players have left the club, including Ethan Szypula (AHL MVP of the 2024/25 season). In addition, Swedish forward Fredrik Widén ended his career. The 33-year-old had spent the past five years in Salzburg.

At reigning champions Val Gardena, head coach Marcel Skokan has extended his contract. After winning the championship title, talks between the club management and the Slovak coach began. These went very positively, resulting in a quick agreement to continue the cooperation, according to the club.

The two-time champions brought Angelo Miceli back to Italy. The 32-year-old has previously played in the win2day ICE Hockey League for Bolzano and Asiago. Last season, the forward played for SønderjyskE in Denmark. This is so far the only transfer activity on the Buam’s roster, while several departures have already been announced. On the coaching side, they appointed Finnish coach Teemu Virtala, who led Kaltern to the IHL title last season.

Hockey Unterland Cavaliers
The South Tyrolean club signed Finnish forward Miiro Linjala. For the 25-year-old, it is his second stint abroad, having previously played in the French Ligue Magnus. In addition, contracts with forwards Christian Inama and Gabriel Zerbetto have been extended.
