Patrick Kudla of HC TIWAG Innsbruck has been suspended indefinitely with immediate effect due to an incident during Friday’s game against the Vienna Capitals. The exact length of the suspension will be determined by the Justice Committee of the win2day ICE Hockey League and communicated at a later date. As a result, the 29-year-old Canadian will also miss today’s away game in Graz.

This suspension arises from an incident that occurred during win2day ICE Hockey League Game No. 268, Vienna Capitals vs. HC TIWAG Innsbruck, played on 30 January 2026.

The incident has been placed under formal investigation and is currently under review by the ICE Hockey League Justice Committee, in accordance with the win2day ICE Hockey League Game Book | I – Disciplinary Measures, which provides, inter alia, that:

• Relevant investigations commence following the conclusion of the notification period, with the objective of finalizing the proceedings.
• Investigations of a serious nature may be placed “under review” for the time required to adequately assess the case, without a defined maximum time frame.
• Incidents of this nature fall under the jurisdiction of the ICE Hockey League Justice Committee.

Accordingly, Patrick Kudla remains suspended from all further win2day ICE Hockey League games until the Justice Committee has completed its review and issued a final decision regarding any supplementary disciplinary measures.
