While Innsbruck came to Szekesféhérvar with a sense of achievement, the home side conceded their third defeat in a row with a 0:1 after shootout in Graz on Friday. The Tyroleans started the game well again, after just eight minutes two Hungarians had to go to the penalty box. And the guests took advantage of the numerical superiority, ex-Féhérvar-player Brady Shaw put the Innsbruckers in the lead. Late in the period, however, the Hungarians equalised when Tim Campbell intercepted a pass and served Janos Hari - the captain scored into the far corner for 1:1. In the middle period Innsbruck took the lead again, Daniel Leavens (22nd) went five-hole on goalie Olivier Roy after a counterattack.

Andrew O'Brien equalised soon later and now the home side were in control. But HCI goalkeeper Tom McCollum prevented a Féhérvar lead and a little later Tyler Coulter put the Innsbruckers in front for the third time this evening. In the third period, the hosts put on a lot of pressure and in the 47th minute Alex Petan managed to equalise the score at 3:3 with a remarkable "between the legs" attempt. A little later, the Hungarians also came up with a 5-on-3 powerplay. A goal by Hari turned the game in favour of the home team. But Innsbruck managed to score 4:4 through Coulter while still shorthanded. In the final minutes there was a lot of traffic in front of the HCI goal and the home side came close to scoring the next goal. But then Innsbruck decided the game to their favour - 20 seconds before the end of regulation Simon Bourque scored. With their second win of the season against Fehervar, the Sharks moved up to third place in the standings.
