How has the Alps Hockey League shaped Austrian hockey, especially in developing young players?
Philip Putnik: “I think it’s very good for Austria because young players get the chance to play in a strong league and compete against men. That will help Austria develop more young talent.”

Which rivalries make the league special, and what are your season highlights?
Philip Putnik: “For us, it’s the games against Kitzbühel, because they’re very close to us. A lot of fans come, the atmosphere is loud, and I’m really looking forward to it.”

With what expectations are you heading into the anniversary season?
Philip Putnik: “We want to win the league again. I think we need to work week by week, game by game, and then see how far we can go.”

Who will be the anniversary champion, and which underdog might surprise?
Philip Putnik: “Hopefully us! I think every team got better over the summer, so it will be a very tight season again. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Facing Jesenice in the opener, what will be key for a strong start to the season?
Philip Putnik: “We’re excited to be playing for points again. Against Jesenice, we left the ice last year as champions, so we want to have a really good start against them and then keep moving forward.”
