EC Bregenzerwald was narrowly beaten in all three quarter-final games by the Master Round champion EK Die Zeller Eisbären. They lost both matches in Zell am See 1:3 and 2:3 in front of their home crowd. The series could end on Sunday if the “Polar Bears” also win the second game in Vorarlberg. However, ECB forward Philipp Pöschmann is hoping for an extension of the series and is certain that more would have been possible in all games.

The fourth duel between Bregenzerwald and Zell am See will take place on Sunday. For the team from Pinzgau, it is the first chance to make it into the semi-finals for the first time. However, Philipp Pöschmann from EC Bregenzerwald is still hoping to get back into the series: “The defeats hurt, of course. All three games were very hard-fought, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to win. On Sunday, we'll do everything we can to keep the series alive.”

Born in Vienna, he has been a regular player for Bregenzerwald since the 2016/17 season. He has scored 20 points in 37 games so far this season. However, the 28-year-old is still waiting for his first point in the series against Zell am See.

Game four of the series is available live on valcome.tv from 17:30 on Sunday.
