Joonas Oden has played for several Finnish youth national teams and made his debut for KooKoo in the SM-Liiga in the 2018/19 season. After spells with Ilves - where he played in the Champions Hockey League in Salzburg, among others - and SaiPa, the 23-year-old has now accepted his first offer outside Finland. The newcomer from Vorarlberg is characterised above all by his explosive skating.

"It's an exciting opportunity for me to play in an international league and further develop my skills. The system in the win2day ICE Hockey League is certainly different than in Finland, I think I'll fit in very well here," says Oden.

Pioneers head coach Dylan Stanley: "With Joonas Oden we have gained a highly talented player who not only has impressive playing experience, but also brings a lot of speed to our team. He will be used as a winger in our top lines."
