HC Orli Znojmo was on fire in their last friendly game 2018! The Czechs won against HKM Zvolen from Slovakia on Wednesday 9:4 (2:1,5:0,2:3). The goals have been scored by seven different players (Hlava (2x), Luciani (2x), Stehlik, Braes, Stretch, Lattner, Guman). The „Red Eagles“ decided the game with five goals in period 2, earning a 7:1-lead after fourty minutes… The Dornbirn Bulldogs will play their last friendly game against Swiss NLA-club SC Langnau Tigers today.
99ers signed Austrian Center Lukas Kainz prior the start of the Energie Steiermark Trophy
The Moser Medical Graz99ers have added Austrian Center Lukas Kainz to their roster. The 23-year old forward went for goals and points for EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga and the Alps Hockey League during the past two years. Besides, the Center made his debut in the Austrian National team last year. Kainz has already practiced with his new team during the last days. The 99ers will finally play their first home-games this weekend as well. The Styrians will face Czech top-club and Champions Hockey League finalist from 2017, HC Sparta Praha, in their first game of the Energie Steiermark Trophy on Friday. Besides, HK Nitra (Slovakian Champion from 2016) and SC Rapperswil-Jona (SUI/NLA) will be involved into the fight for the title.
Black Wings and Sharks will face with DEL-clubs
EHC LIWEST Black Wings Linz and HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ will finish their Pre Season with games against DEL-clubs this weekend. The Upper Austrians will travel to Augsburg on Friday. Brian Lebler and Co. have been defeated in three streight friendly games and have netted just five goals. But, watch out: Past season, the Black Wings have won both meetings with the Panthers (8:4, 4:3/SO). Besides, the Germans have already been defeated in a friendly game 2018 by Graz 0:1. Clashed between HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ and the Straubing Tigers have already tradition during the Pre Season. The Germans were successful in both duels past season, while Innsbruck won twice 2016. 2018, the two clubs will meet each other twice as well: The firs game is played in Straubing on Friday, the re-match follows in North Tyrol on Sunday. Each team was on fire lately: The Sharks netted 14 goals out of their last, three games (two wins). The German DEL-club earned two consecutive victories against the Vienna Capitals (5:1) and the Augsburg Panthers (4:0), potting nine goals.
League-rivals meet in Zagreb
With KHL Medvescak Zagreb and EC-KAC two Erste Bank Eishockey League-rivals will meet each other in their, last friendly game on Sunday. Each team will also play another test against Swiss top-club Geneve Servette (NLA) in the Croatian Capital during this weekend. The two Erste Bank Eishockey Liga clubs have shown different faces during this Pre Season so far: While the Bears have won three consecutive matches, the Austrians have earned just one win out of seven games.
Prestige duel for Fehervar AV19
Fehervar AV19 has already shown their strenght during this Pre Season and wants to get some extra boost with a win in the prestige duel at MAC Budapest on Sunday. The Polar Bears will enrich the Slovakian Extraliga in the upcoming season and they have under contract some former Fehervar AV19 players.
Bozen and Villach will face with Alps Hockey League-clubs
EC Panaceo VSV will finish their Pre Season against HC Pustertal Wölfe in Bruneck on Sunday. The South Tyoleans participate in the Alps Hockey League. Villach wants wo collect some extra boost for the start of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. The Eagles have lost three consecutive games and netted just five goals.
The Pre Season 2018 will be closed by HCB Südtirol Alperia on Wednesday. The Erste Bank Eishockey Liga-Champion will face with the Rittner Buam on the road. The Rittner Buam were among the top-teams in the Alps Hockey League so far, they earned the title 2017 and played in the finals 2018.
