The 29-year-old defenseman Jason Fram, a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, and holder of dual citizenship in Canada and China, joins Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey in the win2day ICE Hockey League.

He began his career in 2011 with the Spokane Chiefs in the WHL, the premier junior league in Western Canada, where he played a total of 346 games over five seasons and collected 201 points. Fram then turned pro in the American Hockey League with the San Jose Barracuda and in the ECHL with the Allen Americans before joining the University of Alberta team. There he was named the league's best defenseman twice in a row and scored 70 points in 83 games. His next chapter took him to the KHL, where he played five seasons for the Chinese team Kunlun Red Star and established himself as a key player with a total of 186 KHL games, 17 goals and 22 assists. Fram also gained international experience with the Chinese national team, with whom he took part in the World Championships and the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Jason Fram: "I know many players who have played in the ICE over the years and I know how demanding this competition is. It's incredible to be part of Asiago's history and I'm looking forward to the challenges this season."

Returning players for Pustertal

Tommy Purdeller and Fabian Gschliesser, both trained at the Red Bull Academy, have joined the HC Pustertal team. Fabian Gschliesser, the son of former Wolves forward Alex Gschliesser, has steadily improved his skills in recent years and most recently proved himself in the Alps Hockey League and for the HCP in the ICE. He returned to South Tyrol last summer, playing a leading role with the Broncos in the Alps Hockey League and also skated for 16 games for the Wolves in the ICE.

Tommy Purdeller, a reliable goal scorer in the Red Bull Academy, gained international experience and was last active in the OHL with the Peterborough Petes, with whom he won the OHL title.

Tommy Purdeller: "I decided to join HCP because I am convinced of the path we will take this year. I'm looking forward to the new challenge of growing as a player and helping the team in any way I can. I can't wait to perform in front of our fans and give my all to celebrate many victories in the Intercable Arena. There is only one goal for me, and that is clear: to play as successfully as possible in the long term and maybe even bring a championship title to Val Pusteria at some point. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone at Puschtra again."

Fabian Gschliesser: "I'm very happy to have gotten some ice time with the HCP last season. I will do everything I can to help the team as best I can with my qualities and to earn a permanent place in the team. I already felt the support and energy from our fans last year and I'm really looking forward to seeing the arena shake."
