Last weekend twelve teams tested for the upcoming season in the Alps Hockey League: EHC Lustenau is still unbeaten, for EK Zell am See Daniel Ban and Philip Putnik showed up with four points each (1G|3A). The EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel and S.G. Cortina Hafro have again strengthened its roster.

EHC Lustenau has remained unbeaten in the running preseason: Last year's semifinalist achieved, thanks to a breace of Chris D'Alvise within eleven seconds after trailing 0:2, a 3:2 win after shootout against EHC Basel. With HC Gherdeina valgardena.it also a second team won after penalty shootout, as the South Tyroleans prevailed at league rival HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice with 3:2. In the shootout Max Oberrauch scored for the first time in the “Furie” jersey.

Clear wins for Ritten, Salzburg and Feldkirch
The Rittner Buam claimed their second win in their third preseason game with a 5:2 victory over Hockey Unterland. Five different players scored. Red Bull Hockey Juniors won 6:4 at Czech third league team IHC Pisek, with Philipp Krening and Keegan Kanzig scoring twice. BEMER VEU Feldkirch prevailed against EHC Chur (CH) with 5:2. Patrick Bolterle scored a brace, David Felder celebrated his debut in goal for the Vorarlberg team. The Vienna Capitals Silver were defeated by HC Dukla Jihlava with 1:9. Alexander Maxa scored the consolation goal.

Three league internal duels
The EC-KAC Future Team played two games within three days: First, it defeated league rival Steel Wings Linz 3:1, then it lost to AHL comebacker EK Zell am See 2:4. For the first time in the current preseason, the Carinthians conceded defeat after 60 minutes. For the Salzburgers, Daniel Ban and Philip Putnik each dominated with a 4-point game (1G|3A). EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel got its first preseason win with a 5:3 against Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan.

Two teams face ICE clubs
Up to and including Thursday, five games are on the schedule, seven teams are in testing action: HC Gherdeina valgardena.it (vs. HCB Südtirol Alperia) and S.G. Cortina Hafro (@ HC Pustertal) each take on teams of the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League, while BEMER VEU Feldkirch hosts the German second league team EHC Freiburg.
The league-internal duels are EHC Lustenau against Rittner Buam and Vienna Capitals Silver against Steel Wings Linz.

Kittinger signs at Kitzbühel
EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel has once again strengthened its team with an Austrian ahead of the season start. Patrick Kittinger moves from the spusu Vienna Capitals to Tyrol. For Vienna, the 25-year-old forward recorded 90 ICE appearances (2G|10A).

Cortina hires Finucci
S.G. Cortina Hafro has strengthened with veteran Carlo Finucci. The 34-year-old Canadian played for ASC Corona Brasov (ROU) in the Hungarian Extraliga last season. Finucci and his team were only defeated in the final series. In the postseason, the former EIHL player scored 8 goals and 10 assists.
