The HC Pustertal Wölfe thus also won the second season meeting with the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg. This time with Jakob Smith starting and only minor changes in the line-up, contrary to the 3:-5 defeat the day before in Innsbruck, the South Tyroleans prevailed 3-1. The "Wolves" had more of the game from the start and quickly became dangerous through Archambault's crossbar shot. Consequently, the home team then took the lead almost at the end of its second power play: Wyatt Ege (10./PP1) came with a lot of speed into the offensive zone and then beat Alex Caffi through the legs. Just five minutes later the equalizer came from Richard Jarusek (15.).

From then on, the game remained even, with a slight chance plus for HC Pustertal. The Vorarlberg were dangerous in the second period, especially in their two powerplays. In the last period, the guests, who started with only three lines, ran out of steam - and the "Wolves" took the victory. Filip Ahl (46.) skated alone from the left side towards Caffi to retake the lead, Marc-Olivier Roy fixed the final score with an empty-net goal and sealed the seventh defeat in a row for the Vorarlberg team.
