EC Grand Immo VSV captured the second ticket for the Champions Hockey League. The Eagles celebrated a 3:2 victory over league leader and also CHL participant EC Red Bull Salzburg. Salzburg initially took the lead in this encounter before Villach got going from the end of the second period onwards, eventually earning a 3-2 victory and with it home rights - at least through to a possible semi-final.

Caps secure home right in quarterfinals

HC TIWAG Innsbruck celebrated a 4:3 victory against Steinbach Black Wings Linz at the end of the season, who had to finish the 2021/2022 season in last place.
