After Friday’s 1–9 derby loss in Bolzano, HC Falkensteiner Pustertal responded strongly with a convincing 4–0 win against Hydro Fehérvár AV19. With Ljubljana suffering an overtime defeat on Saturday, Pustertal leapfrogged the Slovenian side to take over the top spot. It marked one of eight wins in their last ten games for the South Tyroleans. In front of 2,800 fans, Rok Tičar opened the scoring in the 4th minute. Matthias Mantinger made it 2–0 in the 30th, before Tičar struck again on the power play for his second brace of the season. Markus Lauridsen sealed the victory with a power-play goal in the 58th minute. Fehérvár offered little resistance, managing just 25 shots on HCP goaltender Eddie Pasquale.

Graz earns crucial road win in Bolzano
The HCB Südtirol Alperia couldn’t carry the momentum from their 9–1 derby victory into Sunday’s game and fell 3–4/SO to the Moser Medical Graz99ers. Bolzano remains third in the standings, one point ahead of Graz. For the Styrian side, it was their second straight win and third in the last five games. After a scoreless first period, Paul Huber opened the scoring in the 23rd minute following a great assist from Lukas Haudum. Lukas Kainz doubled the lead in the 34th minute. Still in the second period, Shane Gersich cut the deficit, but Michael Schiechl quickly restored the two-goal cushion. In the final frame, Brett Pollock scored twice in the last seven minutes to force overtime. In the ensuing shootout, Lukas Haudum converted the decisive attempt to secure the extra point for Graz.

Linz extend winning streak to five
The Steinbach Black Wings Linz continue their impressive run, celebrating their fifth consecutive win with a 3–1 home victory over FTC-Telekom in front of more than 4,200 fans. For the visitors from Budapest, it marked a sixth straight loss. Aku Kestilä gave FTC an early lead in the 9th minute, but Brian Lebler equalized just two minutes later. In the 25th minute, Shawn St-Amant converted on the power play to give Linz the lead, and Graham Knott sealed the deal with an empty-net goal 74 seconds before the final buzzer. The win also served as payback for the narrow 2–3 defeat in their first matchup of the season in Budapest.

Pioneers edge KAC in shootout
Bottom-ranked Pioneers Vorarlberg headed into the break with a surprise 2–1/SO home victory over the EC-KAC. Following their 3–2 overtime win against defending champions EC Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday, the Pioneers managed to take down the reigning runners-up as well. In a tight game, Matt Fraser gave the visitors the lead in the 37th minute, but Nathan Burke equalized in the 45th to force overtime. The KAC thought they had scored the winner, but the goal was disallowed after video review due to goaltender interference. In the shootout, Casey Dornbach was the only scorer, securing the extra point for the hosts. For the fifth-placed KAC, it was their first loss after two straight wins and only their second defeat in the last ten games.

VSV claim confident win in Vienna
The EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV recorded a solid 3–0 road victory over the Vienna Capitals, ending a two-game losing streak. With the win, Villach moved up to seventh place, while the Capitals dropped to 11th and currently sit outside the pre-playoff spots. After a scoreless opening half hour, Nikita Scherbak broke the deadlock for the visitors. John Hughes doubled the lead 65 seconds before the end of the second period, and Philipp Lindner added a power-play marker four minutes into the final frame to seal the result. Goaltender Joe Cannata turned aside all 22 shots he faced to earn the shutout.
