Jakob Stukel came up with top scoring outputs over several WHL seasons (Calgary Hitmen and Vancouver Giants), which also earned him the Vancouver Canucks draft in 2016. In 2018, at age 21, the jump to professional hockey followed. In the last three years, the forward switched between the AHL (Condors) and ECHL (Wichita Thunder). The Canadian scored 43 points in 62 ECHL appearances and 24 points in 87 AHL games in the process.

The 24-year-old also played with BEMER VEU Feldkirch last fall to be prepared for the AHL season, which started late. During that time, Stukel averaged two points per match in the Alps Hockey League. After rejoining the American Hockey League, the winger reached the Conference Finals with the Bakersfield Condors - Stukel had 8 scoring points in 41 games.

"I heard about the beautiful city, the great fans and a well-organized club. Of course, I'm looking forward to the new challenge and want to get into the action as soon as possible," said the newcomer.
