Pustertal signs forward Max Gerlach

HC Pustertal announced the signing of forward Max Gerlach. For the 23-year-old US-American it is a return to the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League, as he played for HC TIWAG Innsbruck last season. In 48 games for the Tyroleans, the center, who was most recently under contract in Sweden with AIK Stockholm, recorded 36 points (16 goals, 20 assists).

Just days after the Wolves signed forward Greg Carey, Max Gerlach has now been added to the squad. The center spent his junior career in the WHL and made the jump to Europe at the age of 21. There Gerlach led the offense of the Ticino Rockets (NLB), also acted as a loan player of Ambri Piotta in the Champions Hockey League. He earned a contract with HC TIWAG Innsbruck in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League with good performances, where he came to 36 points (16 goals, 20 assists) in 48 games. In the summer of 2021, he made transfered to AIK Stockholm in the Allsvenskan. There, an injury contracted at the end of August prevented a successful season for the US American from the state of Minnesota.
