Moncada developed through the Ontario Hockey League and made his professional debut during the shortened COVID-era AHL season. Between 2021 and 2025, he regularly faced Pustertal as an opponent—first with the Vienna Capitals, then for three seasons with Asiago. Following Asiago’s exit from the league, he moved to Val Gardena, where he played a key role in the team’s Alps Hockey League championship.

Pustertal also confirmed that Tommy Purdeller will remain with the club for the upcoming season. The 22-year-old forward had an exit clause in his previously signed two-year contract, which has now expired. As a result, Pustertal can once again rely on its homegrown top scorer (38 points) for the 2026/27 season.
