So far, it’s been a series dominated by the home teams: while KAC claimed two convincing home wins (3–0, 8–3) and took the lead, Fehérvár always responded with narrow victories (2–1, 3–2 OT) to even the series. The winner on Monday will earn two match points.

In its club history, KAC has already faced a 2–2 series situation 16 times – eight of those series ended positively for KAC, eight negatively. Game 5 has always been very important: the winner of this match went on to win the series in 13 of 16 cases. EC-KAC has never lost a home Game 5 at a 2–2 series in regulation time – five wins stand against two overtime losses (vs. HCB Südtirol 2018 and EC Salzburg 2024). Game 5 against Fehérvár starts on Monday at 19:30 and will be streamed live on Sporteurope.tv.

In Game 4, Anže Kuralt received a 5-minute penalty plus a game misconduct, which did not result in any further suspension. The Slovenian was fined 200 euros.
