The Quarterfinals continue on Thursday. A Playoff game will take place for the first time in Alps Hockey League history in Ljubljana, Salzburg and in Sterzing.

A Playoff game will take place for the first time in Alps Hockey League history in Sterzing on Thursday! Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935  (1) won Quarterfinal number 1 against WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan (8) after a high-scoring game on Tuesday (7:5). Each team performed very effective and needed just four shots for one goal (there were 29:21-shots in total). Marco Rosa (3G/1A) and Giulio Scandella (3G) were the matchwinners for the Yellow-Reds. The „Boncos“ on the other side were convincing in Power Play situations: Sterzing netted four goals from seven Power Plays in Quarterfinal 1, Asiago scored twice in Power Play. Asiago is leading in the Power Play statistics: The Vice-Champion has had a PP% of 28,8% 2017/18, Sterzing follows on second place (PP%: 26).
Marco Rosa and Co. will travel with confidence to Sterzing on Thursday. The Vice-Champion has won four consecutive Alps Hockey League games and has netted 19 goals in total. The „Broncos“ on the other side have been defeated in two consecutive matches and have allowed eleven goals in total. But Sterzing has been convincing at home lately: The team of Head Coach Ivo Jan has won four consecutive home-games and has netted 26 goals in total. But watch out:  Asiago was the last road-team, that was successful in Sterzing on January 13th. Besides, the Vice-Champion has won six consecutive clashes with the Broncos.

A Playoff game will take place for the first time in Alps Hockey League history in Salzburg on Thursday! The Red Bull Hockey Juniors surprised in Quarterfinal 1 with a 3:1-win in Ritten on Tuesday: The Austrians celebrated their first ever win against the Champion in their first ever Playoff game in the Alps Hockey League. On the other side, the Rittner Buam are back (0:1) in a Playoff-series in Alps Hockey League for the second time. The Champion lost their first semifinal-game against Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro at home on March 18th 2017 as well (2:4). Nevertheless, the Italians reached the finals without big problems last season. But Alex Frei and Co. have had some problems on the road lately: The Italians were defeated in two consecutive road-games and have conceeded eleven goals in total. But watch out: The Italians will travel with good memories to Salzburg. The Champion has won all games in Salzburg and has potted always four goals. Besides the Italians celebrated their last road-win in the Mozart City end of January. The Austrians celebrated two wins from their last three home-games.

A Playoff game will take place for the first time in Alps Hockey League history in Ljubljana on Thursday! 1.800 fans followed Quarterfinal number 1 in Jesenice. The „Red Steelers“ won at home on Tuesday (4:3) and they have celebrated their sixth victory in the seventh Slovenian Derby 2017/18. The best-of-seven series will continue in Ljubljana on Thursday. The „Dragons“ were convincing at home lately: The club from the Slovenian Capital has won seven home-games in a row  – four out of them in the Alps Hockey League - and has reached in total a goalscore of 18:3! But watch out: HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice has left the ice as the winner in all three meetings with the Dragons at Hala Tivoli 2017/18 (3:2, 3:0, 6:2) and was the last road-team, that was successful in Ljubljana on January 6th 2018…

Best-of-seven-series, VEU – HCP: 0:1
HC Pustertal Wolves is the only team, that has not allowed a single goal in the Alps Hockey League Playoffs 2018. On the other side, FBI VEU Feldkirch has been the only club, that has not scored in the first Quarterfinal. The Italians won in Feldkirch on Tuesday with 2:0 and they took the lead in the best-of-seven-series. HCP-Goalie Thomas Tragust stopped all 21 shots on his net from the Austrians, while Max Oberrauch (45., 49.) potted twice in the last period. The two teams will face each other again in Bruneck on Thursday. The wolves are still unbeaten against the Vorarlberger, the Italians have won all five clashes. Besides, the Italians have had a good (home-)run lately: Bruneck has won three consecutive (home-)games, while the Austrians were defeated in two consecutive games.
