Three facts prior Quarterfinal 3:
>Past season, all three teams leading 2:0 in their best-of-seven-series (VIC, RBS and KAC) were successful in Quarterfinal 3 as well.
>Two teams (EC-KAC and HCB Südtirol Alperia) celebrated Shut Out wins in Quarterfinal 3 last year.
>Vienna Capitals have won 14 consecutive Playoff games and have set a new record. EC Red Bull Salzburg had won 13 concecutive games between QF 3 2014/15 and QF 2 2015/16.

Tue, 13.03.2018: Vienna Capitals (1) vs. HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ (6) – 19:15.
Referees: M. NIKOLIC, STOLC, Pardatscher, Schauer.
Best-of-seven-series, VIC – HCI: 2:0.
>The Vienna Capitals would get four matchpoints with a home-win against HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ in Quarterfinal number 3 on Tuesday. The Champions have won Quarterfinal number 1 at home (4:1) and game 2 in Innsbruck on Sunday (3:2/OT) and are leading in the best-of-seven-series 2:0.
>The Special Teams have had an important fact in the first two Playoff meetings between the two teams. 50% of the goals (or five from ten goals) have been scored in a Power Play situation. Innsbruck has netted two from their three goals (66,6%) in the Quarterfinals in a Power Play, the Caps on the other side have potted three from their seven Playoff goals in a Power Play situation (43%).
>HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ try to end their bad Playoff-run against the Vienna Capitals at the ice-arena Kagran. The Tyroleans have lost all (9) Playoff clashes with the Champion.
>The two teams have shown different faces during the last weeks: While the Capitals left the ice as the winner in four consecutive games and have allowed just 5 goals, the Sharks have been defeated in five consecutive games and have conceeded 23 goals. This means, the Sharks are still without a win in March. Besides, they have lost their last three games all against the same opponent (Vienna Capitals).
>The Capitals are leading in the season-clash 7:1. But watch out: The Sharks have celebrated their only season-victory over the Champion prior X-Mas in Vienna.
Quotes:
Serge Aubin, Headcoach Vienna Capitals: „It was a chippy fight in Innsbruck. We are happy about the win, but this was not our best game. We will work on some details and the team will show another face at home on Tuesday!“
Rob Pallin, Headcoach HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“: „It needs emotions and cleverness.“

>For the first time, Dornbirn is back in a Playoff series in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga 0:2. The Vorarlberger were leading in their best-of-seven-Quarterfinal-series in the years 2014 and 2016 with 2:0, then they four times in a row…
