It’s derbytime in Slovenia! HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice (3) and HK SZ Olimpija (6) will face each other in the Quarterfinals. The first game of the best of seven series is played in Jesenice on Tuesday. The second match will follow in Ljubljana on Thursday. The two, big rivals were in a fight for points already six times this season. The „Red Steelers“ are leading in the season-clash 5:1. Two Slovenian derbys were already played in the year 2018, Jesenice has won both meetings 6:2 and 7:2. Both teams have had a good run lately: HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice has won five consecutive games in the Alps Hockey League and has scored in total 28 goals. Besides, the Steel Citens were convincing at home in the last weeks: Jesenice has won all (four) home-games in the year 2018! But watch out: HK SZ Olimpija has been the last road-team, that has celebrated a victory in Jesenice end of December 2017! Besides the Dragons have had a good run lately as well: The team from the Slovenian Capital left the ice as the winner in five of their last six games and they have allowed only nine goals.

FBI VEU Feldkirch (4) and HC Pustertal Wolves (5) will be in a fight for their first win in the Alps Hockey League Playoffs in Feldkirch on Tuesday. Each team lost their Quarterfinal series 2017 by 0:3. This means, both teams have the big chance to make it into the semifinals for the first time. The Austrians and Italians have faced each other six times in the Alps Hockey League, the Wolves have won all clashes! Each club has had a good run lately and left the ice as the winner in three of their last four Alps Hockey League games.

Rittner Buam (2) will face the Red Bull Hockey Juniors (7) in the Quarterfinals. The Champion has won all Playoff series in the Alps Hockey League, the Red Bulls on the other side will play their first Post Season game in Ritten on Tuesday. The two clubs have meet four times, all clashes have been won by the Italians (4:3, 4:1, 7:1, 4:2). The South Tyroleans have been convincing at home lately: The Champion has won two consecutive home-games and has netted 13 goals in total. Salzburg on the other side has been without a victory in March. The Austrians have lost both games and allowed ten goals.

One Italian team will step up to the Semifinals! The Italian rivals Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 (1) and WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan (8) will be in a fight for one semifinal ticket! The first game of the best of seven Quarterfinal series is played in Asiago on Tuesday (20:30). The „Yellow-Reds“ made it into the finals 2017, while the „Broncos“ will play their first Alps Hockey League Playoffs. The winner of the regular season was convincing at home this season: Asiago has won twelve consecutive home-games. But watch out: Sterzing was the last road-club, that was successful in Asiago on November 15th. But, the Vice-Champion has already taken revenge five times in a row for this defeat. The two teams have had a different run lately: Asiago has won three consecutive games, while the „Broncos“ have celebrated only one win during that span.
