On Thursday nine Alps Hockey League games will be played. In Masterround the race for the quarterfinal home advantage continues with reigning champion Ljubljana hosting leader Pustertal in the top game. While the Red Bull Hockey Juniors could already make playoffs in Qualification Round A, the three best-placed teams of Qualification Round B - Feldkirch, Fassa and Kitzbühel - play at home.

For the second time in a row Pustertal could head into palyoffs as the top-seeded team. With four games to go, the leader of Masterround has a five-point advantage to Ritten and Cortina. On Thursday the travel to Ljubljana for the fourth season meeting against Olimpija. After the Slovenes won the first two, Pustertal decided the only Masterround game to their favour. The Bruneck has has done defensively well in the last nine games with never conceding more than two goals per game. The 4th-placed team from Slovenia is just two points behind Ritten and Cortina. At home, the champions lost three of their last four, though.

After winning their Masterround opener against Asiago, Rittner Buam lost the following two home games. Now they host Jesenice, a team they already beat three times this campaign. Six days ago Dan Tudin's side earned a 2:0 shutout in Jesenice. The Red Steelers are the bottom-club of Masterround as the lost their last six.

Following the incidents concerning the coronavirus, the authorities of the Veneto region announced that sporting events can only take place to the exclusion of public. Thus, tomorrow's game between Asiago and Cortina will be played as scheduled but without spectators - the live stream will be available FOR FREE this time. Both teams are battling for home advantage in quarterfinals as 5th-placed Asiago is just two points behind 4th. The champion of 2018 won the last five home games. Cortina decided two of three season meetings to their favour with turning last week's encounter in the third to their favour.

The "fury" won their last two, being the first persuer of leader Salzburg - they have a 7-point deficit, though. Now the South Tyrol side needs their first season win in Vienna as they lost their first visit, 6:4.

With seven wins in a row, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors are the team of the hour in the AHL. Most recently, the Young Bulls celebrated a 5:1 home win over EHC Lustenau. In the Qualification Group B, RBJ has 20 points. The lead over the first pursuer Val Gardena is already seven points. In the Qualification Round they have not yet lost a point. The EC-KAC II is fifth in the table with six points. In the last game, Klagenfurt celebrated a 3:0 away win at the Vienna Capitals Silver. In the first game of both teams in the qualification round, RBS celebrated a narrow 7:5 away win at the KAC last Saturday. Each team won once in the regular season.

In the table they are fourth with eight points. The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan are classified one place in front of Lustenau (eleven points). The deficit to leaders Red Bull Hockey Juniors are nine points. The Broncos won two of the three duels of the season against the EHC.

After five wins in a row, the VEU Feldkirch suffered a surprising 3:4 away defeat after shootout in Kitzbühel on Tuesday. The leader of the Qualification Group B is still three points ahead of the first pursuer Fassa. The EK Die Zeller Eisbären is fourth in the table, nine points behind the VEU. The EKZ recently celebrated a narrow overtime victory at the EC Bregenzerwald.

The EC 'Die Adler' Stadtwerke Kitzbühel is in strong shape. The Tyroleans won the last three games. With twelve points they are in third place in the table. The guests from Linz could not win any of their six games in the qualification round. In the direct duel, Kitzbühel prevailed in all three duels with the Steel Wings.

The SHC Fassa Falcons needs a victory against the EC Bregenzerwald to still have every chance in the fight for the playoffs. In their last game, the Falcons suffered a narrow 5:6 defeat agaisnt leaders Feldkirch in the top game. The VEU is currently three points ahead. The ECB was last in action on Tuesday and lost against Zell am See with 2:3 after overtime. This season Fassa in all three season duels against Bregenzerwald.
