bet-at-home ICE Hockey League | 28.01.2022 | Schedule:
Fr, 28.01.2022, 7.15 pm: EC-KAC – Dornbirn Bulldogs
Referees: HRONSKY, NAGY, Kis-Kiraly, Konc. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
After three home games within five days - and four of nine possible points - the Dornbirn Bulldogs will play on the road, stopping by at EC-KAC. Of their last ten appearances in Klagenfurt's Stadthalle, the Vorarlberg team could only win two, one of them after a shootout. The previous three seasonal comparisons all lasted longer than 60 minutes, as KAC won twice after overtime, DEC once after shootout. The reigning champions have shown strong performances at home recently, picking up three wins - with a goal difference of 19:3 – in a row. Dornbirn can become the third-last team to break the 100-goal mark with one goal. However, the Vorarlberg team concedes the most goals per game with 3.68. The KAC recently excelled when shorthanded, conceding only two goals in the last ten games (33/35). Jakob Holzer, Nick Petersen, Thomas Koch, Dennis Sticha and Johannes Bischofberger are still missing for the "Rotjacken". Goalie Sebastian Dahm will play his last game for Klagenfurt before his Olympic participation with Denmark.
Fr, 28.01.2022, 7.15 pm: Hydro Fehérvár AV19 – HCB Südtirol Alperia
Referees: RENCZ, SMETANA, Gatol, Muzsik. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
HCB Südtirol Alperia travels to Székesfehérvár on Friday to extend its point streak against Hydro Fehérvár AV19, which has lasted since December 26th and over eight games. The Hungarians have been inconsistent - and this already in the last two months: They never managed more than two wins in a row and they did not suffer more than two defeats in a row. Bolzano is currently second, only 0.016 points ahead of Fehérvár. The South Tyroleans won the first two duels of the season against the most efficient ICE team (12.2% scoring efficiency) in the Palaonda and have not lost to the Hungarians in the past four games. All with a one goal difference. Fehérvár recently showed their upward form in a 7:1 home win over Znojmo on Wednesday, with eleven players scored. Simon Pitschieler and Ivan Tauferer are out at the foxes.
Fr, 28.01.2022, 7.15 pm: Steinbach Black Wings Linz – HC TESLA Orli Znojmo
Referees: NIKOLIC M., SIEGEL, Nothegger, Sparer. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
After the clear 1:7 defeat in Székesfehérvár on Wednesday, HC TESLA Orli Znojmo will hit the road again, traveling to Steinbach Black Wings Linz. The Czechs are - behind Linz - the second weakest road team in the league, scoring only 0.75 points per game. Most recently, there were only two wins from the last ten road games. The Upper Austrians' situation on home ice is similarly precarious: 1.17 points per game mean second-last place in the home standings, as the Black Wings picked up three wins in their last ten games. The home record against Znojmo is much better, as they scored in nine of the last ten games. However, the Czechs have clearly decided the season's encounters so far in their favor. Colin Smith is no longer available to Linz, as he moved to Switzerland.
Fr, 28.01.2022, 7.15 pm Moser Medical Graz99ers – HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie
Referees: SOOS, STERNAT, Bedynek, Bärnthaler. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
The Moser Medical Graz99ers and the HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie duel each other "back-to-back" this weekend. After the match on Friday, another one will follow less than 24 hours later on Saturday. The upcoming doubleheader is of high importance for both teams: The Styrians, which are in ninth place, hold at 1.474 points, the tenth-placed Tyroleans at 1.459 points - and right behind them, below the line and thus outside the pre-playoffs, lurks Znojmo. Innsbruck has a good form available, as three of the last four games were won after regulation - and the "Sharks" also have the new league top scorer in their ranks. Tim McGauley holds at 42 points (17G|25A). In the last six games he always scored, four times he managed a multiple point game. Graz won the lone duel of the season so far with 3:2 - despite a strong comeback by Innsbruck. In the last ten home games against the "Sharks" the Styrians have scored nine times, lost only twice. Zintis Zusevics, Ken Ograjensek and Jacob Pfeffer return to the line-up of Graz.
Fr, 28.01.2022, 7.30 pm: EC GRAND Immo VSV – EC Red Bull Salzburg
Referees: FICHTNER, PIRAGIC, Riecken, Zgonc. | >> FREE-Livestream auf PULS24 <<
These two recently had the same opponent, met the EC-KAC - but with different results: The leader EC Red Bull Salzburg beat the champion sovereign with 3:0, Villach conceded a 0:6 defeat in the derby. This, after a 21-day break, which means that the "Adler" should probably perform better against Salzburg. However, the home record against the "Red Bulls" hardly speaks for blue-white: Salzburg has always scored in the last 13 games at Villach and lost only three times. Villach's last home win after regulation over the six-time champions dates back to March 15th, 2016 (2-0). Salzburg's captain Thomas Raffl is about to score his 500th league point for EC Red Bull Salzburg. In Villach, Rick Schofield will make his comeback after an almost four-month injury break, with Joel Broda has been subbed off for him. Renars Krastenbergs will leave for the Latvian national team for the Olympic tournament on Friday before the game and is also not available. For Salzburg, Ali Wukovits returns to the lineup, Ty Loney's use will not be decided until game day.
Fr, 28.01.2022, 7.45 pm: HC Pustertal Wölfe – HK SZ Olimpija
Referees: NIKOLIC K., OFNER, Pardatscher, Rigoni. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
In the newcomer duel, HC Pustertal Wölfe wants to extend its winning streak against HK SZ Olimpija: The South Tyroleans celebrated four wins in a row, climbed to eighth place in the standings and are back in the race for the top 6. During their streak, they did not suffer any shorthanded goals and survived a total of eleven box plays unscathed. The PK has been excellent for the Dragons since the beginning of the season, with 85.8% they are the league leaders in this category. Nevertheless, they recently suffered defeats, especially on the road, losing six of the last seven road games. Also because top scorer Guillaume Leclerc is struggling, he generated only two points (1G|1A) from the last six games. For the "Wolves" Emil Kristensen plays his last game before the Olympic participation.
